Terms and Conditions:
Our terms and conditions between DUETTE and its tutors and DUETTE and Teenage
Cancer Trust can be found on http://www.empowered.org/DUETTE in the sample letter of agreement for tutors.
Our terms and conditions between tutors and students are the following:
1. In an event where one of the tutors and/or student can no longer endure the agreed tutoring
hours, two weeks notice is required. This needs to be referred to one of the founders.
2. In an event where one of the tutors and/or students can not attend a tutorial lesson, 24 hours
notice is required and can be directly discussed with the student and/or the tutor himself on
the condition that one of the founders are notified.
3. If a student skips two or more sessions without reason or notice, founders are allowed to
terminate his/her tutoring sessions.
4. Both founders are allowed to end contracts between tutors and student with a two weeks
notice if students demonstrate harassment in any form, racism, bullying, damaging of
tutor/company’s property, drug or alcohol possession during tutoring session, insubordination,
misconduct, stealing, use of company/tutor’s property for personal business or violation of
company policy.
5. Students can chose whether to pay for the sessions prior to the class, or at the end of the
class.
6. In the event of a student wanting to pay several sessions at once at the end of the month,
this can be done on the condition that all parties agree and it is noted.
7. All payments must be given either by cash or by bank transfer/paypal to one of the
founders within one month.
